Public Art Now workshop
Client: Art Gallery of Ontario

We developed and delivered Public Art Now for the Art Gallery of Ontario’s adult education program. Public Art Now was a four-week roaming workshop that explored a range of public art practice, from sculpture to more ephemeral transformations of public space by artists and designers.

Visiting parks, streets, squares and subway stations, students discussed dozens of public art works and historical monuments in Toronto. The classes also made connections to the Art Gallery of Ontario’s exhibitions and collections while considering the state of public art today.
