Hamilton Children’s Museum feasibility study
Client: City of Hamilton

The Hamilton Children’s Museum is currently housed in the historic Gage House. Workshop Architecture was hired to assess options for a renovation/new addition as well as an option for an entirely new building located on an adjacent site. We performed research on children’s museum precedents and business models and through workshops with City of Hamilton departments and various stakeholders, we helped to articulate a shared vision for the museum as well as facility programming that would allow a Class D costing to establish a detailed project budget that would address space constraints and building condition issues. We are currently working on refurbishments to the existing historic building.
